Meet the Founder
Hey, I’m Brian McDonough, the host of State of Soccer. On this channel and platform, our mission is telling the story of global football through the eyes of an American.
We started back in 2021, and we’ve grown quickly into a community that brings you everything from football travel stories to matchday vlogs, educational content, and global trips. In other words, if it’s part of the beautiful game, we’re there to capture it.
Our passion is to show you football from every corner of the world, and to do it with an authentic, personal touch that defines who we are.

Why we started this platform
We started because American soccer fans deserve a homegrown, global-perspective voice. From stadium tours and World Cup coverage to interviews with athletes and creators, we’ve built a fan-first community.
The Story Behind State of Soccer TV
We’ve grown to over 100,000 followers across all social platforms purely through passion, consistency, and curiosity. This is State of Soccer: we’re inside the beautiful game, bringing it to you with an American voice.
