As the countdown to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues, State of Soccer TV is proud to announce a new partnership with Visit Delaware to help showcase the First State to soccer fans from around the world.
With the world’s biggest sporting event coming to North America, millions of supporters will be traveling throughout the region looking for destinations to explore beyond the host cities. Delaware, with its rich history, vibrant communities, beautiful coastline, and passionate soccer supporters, is uniquely positioned to welcome fans throughout the tournament.
Through this partnership, State of Soccer TV will work alongside Visit Delaware and Let’s Rallie to highlight the people, places, and experiences that make Delaware a destination worth visiting during the World Cup.
The collaboration officially launched with a feature-length video hosted by State of Soccer TV founder Brian McDonough, who traveled throughout Delaware exploring some of the state’s most iconic attractions, hidden gems, and unique experiences. The project was designed to provide fans with a firsthand look at everything Delaware has to offer while positioning the state as a World Cup destination.

While the World Cup will bring global attention to stadiums and host cities across North America, some of the most memorable experiences will happen in the communities surrounding the tournament. That’s where Delaware comes in.
Located between major metropolitan areas and within easy reach of several World Cup host cities, Delaware offers fans an opportunity to experience a different side of the tournament one filled with local culture, welcoming communities, incredible food, beautiful beaches, and unique attractions.
“The 2026 FIFA World Cup is going to be a once-in-a-generation opportunity for our region,” said Brian McDonough, Founder of State of Soccer TV. “As someone who grew up in Pennsylvania but was born in Delaware, with most of my family either from or still living in the First State, this partnership is especially meaningful to me. I’ve spent years telling soccer stories, and I couldn’t be more excited to partner with Visit Delaware and Let’s Rallie. This project is about showing fans that Delaware isn’t just a place to pass through it’s a destination filled with incredible people, unique experiences, rich history, and a growing soccer culture that deserves to be seen by the world.”
Delaware’s World Cup Celebration Starts Now
The excitement surrounding the World Cup is already building across the state.
Earlier this year, Delaware kicked off its World Cup festivities with a statewide Pep Rally that brought together fans, community leaders, and soccer supporters from across the region. The event showcased the enthusiasm and passion that continue to drive the growth of the game throughout the First State.
Now, attention turns to two major World Cup Watch Parties that will bring thousands of fans together this summer.
The first event takes place on Friday, June 12th, when supporters gather at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark for the USA vs. Paraguay Watch Party. With excitement building across the state, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets now and be part of one of Delaware’s premier soccer celebrations.
The festivities continue on July 19th with the FIFA World Cup Final Watch Party at Delaware Stadium, where fans will come together to watch the biggest match in world football.
